From 1977 until 1986, the Central Bank required BNP Amsterdam to appoint two statutory managers, one of whom must be of Dutch nationality. Baron Walter E. Snouckaert von Schauburg was the Dutch manager during those years. Subsequently, with the agreement of the Central Bank, the Bank adopted a different structure under which it was managed by an Executive Board consisting of four people, two of them of Dutch nationality. In 1986 the Executive Board consisted of Yves Lebidois, Piet Van Zanten, Peter Van der Velden and Christian Morio.
