No keys, no card, just a smartphone

Arval is now preparing for the future, investing in the concept of mobility, as Jeff Bolders explains: We are constantly working to improve our services, especially in the area of mobility. We see that the market is increasingly demanding a total mobility concept rather than just a vehicle. Currently, we offer our clients a number of innovative mobility services. The latest addition is a car-sharing concept. We offer this to employees without a lease vehicle who need to travel for business purposes from time to time. The user can make a reservation with his or her own smartphone in a matter of seconds. S/he can also use the smartphone to open and close the vehicle. No keys or card needed.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners

BNP Paribas Investment Partners is a company whose history goes back to three different companies. The current organisation was formed in 2010, through the integration of BNP Paribas Investment Partners with Fortis Investments.

Fortis Investments was the autonomous global asset management arm of the Fortis group. The company was founded in 1996 in Utrecht by Fortis Nederland N.V. After the merger with De Generale and Fortis in Belgium (1998/1999) the asset management activities of Fortis Investments (Fortis Group) and Fimagen (Generale Bank Group) were brought together into a single entity.

ABN AMRO Asset Management was formed in 1993 following the merger of the asset management divisions of ABN and AMRO Bank, and the establishment of the merged company as a separately organised business line within ABN AMRO Bank N.V. ABN AMRO Asset Management had been managing domestic, regional and international equity and fixed income mandates since 1993. On 1 April 2010, Fortis Investments completed a legal merger with ABN AMRO Asset Management. This followed a bid by a consortium of banks, comprising Fortis, RBS and Banco Santander for ABN AMRO. As a result, Fortis Investments and ABN AMRO Asset Management were integrated.
