BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Netherlands is the Dutch arm of the international real estate advisory firm of BNP Paribas. Founded in 2008, the company first became a partner of BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2009 before becoming, in late 2012, a 100%-owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas.

The company provides real estate services in areas such as asset and portfolio management, transactions, tenant counselling, corporate real estate, insolvency, valuations, restructurings and specialised consulting, and works closely together with all types of national and international organisations, banks and institutions, both in the profit- and non-profit market. BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Netherlands offers expertise and advice to real estate owners who are looking to rent out their property and also helps them to structure financial transactions. The company also provides property valuations.

Through its expertise and highly professional approach, the company has been growing very satisfactorily, as the manager, Alexander Ververgaert, explains: In the Netherlands, we have a multidisciplinary team of 20 highly-trained and experienced consultants with complementary expertise in the financial, commercial, legal, fiscal and structural areas. With this team of enthusiastic professionals we ve gained a prominent position in the Dutch real estate market, in a very short time .

BNP Paribas Personal Finance

BNP Paribas Personal Finance is the mortgage activity of the BNP Paribas Group. It started activities in the Netherlands in January 2003 under the name of Union de Crédit pour le Bâtiment (UCB). Since 2012 BNP Paribas Personal Finance does not offer new mortgages anymore in the Netherlands. The team, consisting of 26 people based in Rotterdam, is therefore in run-off mode, managing its current 50,000 customers with a total of 10.5 billion euros worth of mortgages in the portfolio.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance s activities in the Netherlands used to be based on an outsourced business model, providing white label mortgages. Well-known market players such as De Hypotheker and Zwitserleven / Reaal distributed BNP Paribas Personal Finance s mortgage products under their own house brand. The company s distribution model was indirect. BNP Paribas Personal Finance loans were sold through broker chains of independent, AFM licensed, financial advisors.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance was an important competitor for the major Dutch banks, challenging them to keep their interest rates competitive. 2010 was the most successful year for the company in terms of portfolio growth and profit. With a new production volume of 4 billion euros and a 7% market share, BNP Paribas Personal Finance was the fourth largest mortgage supplier in the Netherlands.
