Chronology

1863 Nederlandsche Credit-en Deposito Bank (NCDB) founded in Amsterdam.

1872 Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas established in Paris through the merger of Nederlandsche Credit- en Deposito Bank and Banque de Paris; an Amsterdam branch set up following a takeover of the NCDB business.

1964 Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas shares make their debut listing on the Amsterdam stock exchange.

1968 The Amsterdam branch of Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas becomes Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas N.V.

1977 The French Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) opens a branch in Amsterdam.

1984 Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas N.V. becomes Banque Paribas Nederland N.V.

1995 Cardif Netherlands established.

1997 Banque Paribas Nederland N.V. sold off; Paribas continues with investment activities in the Netherlands (Representative Office in Amsterdam).

1998 The Economy Bank N.V. (TEB N.V.), a subsidiary of TEB A.S. (Turkey), set up.

2000 BNP and Paribas merge; BNP s Amsterdam branch becomes the BNP Paribas branch.

2001 BNP Paribas Securities Services established.

2003 Union de crédit pour le bâtiment (UCB), a BNP Paribas subsidiary, starts up business at Oosterhout; this company later becomes BNP Paribas Personal Finance.

2004 BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions acquires leasing specialist Leaseco.

2004 BNP Paribas acquires the Arma company, which becomes Arval B.V.

2005 BNP Paribas acquires the private bank Nachenius, Tjeenk & Co.

2009 BNP Paribas takes a stake in Insinger de Beaufort Holding B.V.

2012 BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Netherlands set up.
